We are composed of 3
Public two year colleges and one Private
University, all of which are not-for
profit. The four partner schools are: Rhodes State College (Lima),
Marion Technical
College (Marion),
Northwest State
Community College (Archbold), and
Urbana
University (Urbana).
The consortium combines the resources of the four member
institutions to provide more degree options and a seamless
educational experience. Students complete a degree in an allied
health program offered at a consortium institution by attending the
institution closest to the student. For example, if a student
wishes to become a respiratory therapist but the local community
college does not offer this degree program, they do not have to
engage in an arduous commute or look to an alternate career. This
project seeks to serve rural communities better by increasing access
to a broader spectrum of Allied Health Education opportunities so
that smaller healthcare systems can meet the need for Health
Professional employment with local citizens.
